RTKL, the global architecture and urban design practice, has been selected among six competitors to design an $81 million, 28-story residential tower on the site of Indianapolis' former Market Square Arena. RTKL and developer Flaherty & Collins Properties were jointly chosen by a panel of local government, real estate and community leaders.
The project will encompass 300 luxury apartments, 43,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 500 parking spaces. RTKL’s design includes a rooftop pool, a green sky window on the roof, and apartments with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views. According to Mayor Greg Ballard, the project will create hundreds of local jobs and help direct funds back into Indianapolis.
