Swiss elevator maker Schindler Group has named Silvio Napoli as Chief Executive Officer. He will take over the operating responsibility for the whole Group effective January 1, 2014 replacing Juergen Tinggren, who has held the position of CEO for since October 2011. Tinggren will join the executive committee of the board of directors, pending a shareholder vote in March 2014.
Napoli joined the Schindler Group in 1994. He has been a member of the Group Executive Committee with responsibility for the Asia/Pacific region since March 1, 2008. From 2005 to 2008 he was CEO of the Jardine Schindler Group and prior to that General Manager of Schindler Hong Kong.
