Olympic Tower Associates has retained Transwestern’s New York office to act as exclusive office leasing agent for Midtown Manhattan’s 51-story Olympic Tower. The Class A, Plaza District building is located at 645 Fifth Ave. and consists of approximately 400,000 square feet of office space. Transwestern’s Patrick Robinson, Harry Seherr-Thoss, Debra Larsen and Lauren Davidson are leasing agents for the property.
The Olympic Tower Complex includes the Olympic Tower itself, the neo-Renaissance-style Cartier Building and the Versace Building. It was constructed in 1975 as a joint venture with Aristotle Onassis and his company, Victory Development, in partnership with Arlen Realty & Development Corporation.
“Securing a trophy agency assignment is an important milestone for our New York expansion,” said Robinson, Transwestern’s Northeast president. “We look forward to working with Olympic Tower Associates and Harry Seherr-Thoss, who recently joined Transwestern, to enhance the marketing and leasing profile of Olympic Tower.”
Olympic Tower is comprised of 18 floors of office space with most floors totaling approximately 23,000 square feet. There are a total of 51 floors including residential and retail space. Located on Fifth Avenue between 51st and 52nd Streets, the building offers one of the most desirable addresses in the Plaza District with expansive views of Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center and the spires of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Olympic Tower is headquarters to Richemont/Cartier in the U.S. and to the National Basketball Association.
One of the building’s distinguishing features is a redesigned public atrium, which houses the Onassis Cultural Center, a leading venue for presenting ancient, byzantine and modern Hellenic art and culture. Building amenities include new multi-tenant hallways and restrooms, redesigned high-speed elevators, an enhanced building security system, full-time concierge service, an advanced energy control system and supplementary air conditioning availability.
